Corrects G.S. 1-117 to update the cross-reference for the Record of Lis Pendens from G.S. 2-42(6) to G.S. 7A-109.

Reduces the membership of the Commission from 39 to 38 members in G.S. 143B-394.15(c).

Removes the Secretary of the Department of Public Safety as an ex officio member and adds the Secretary of Public Safety as a separate ex officio member position.

Removes "the Department of" from the titles of the Secretary of Administration and Secretary of Health and Human Services in the ex officio member listings.

Becomes effective upon enactment.
