Removes restrictions on opening and closing dates for public schools in Orange County, allowing the local board of education greater flexibility in determining school calendar dates.

Eliminates the requirement that school opening dates be no earlier than the Monday closest to August 26 and closing dates be no later than the Friday closest to June 11.

Removes the waiver provision and "good cause" standard that previously allowed limited exceptions to the standard calendar dates.

Applies only to the Orange County school administrative unit as a local bill.

Effective immediately upon enactment for the 2015-2016 school year and thereafter.
