Prohibits tanning facility operators from allowing persons under 18 years of age to use tanning equipment, raising the previous age restriction from 13 years and younger.

Eliminates the previous provision that allowed minors to use tanning equipment with a written prescription from a medical physician for medical conditions.

Requires tanning operators to provide consumers with a warning statement defining potential hazards of ultraviolet radiation exposure and obtain signed acknowledgment before initial use.

Prohibits tanning facility operators and owners from claiming or distributing promotional materials stating that tanning equipment is safe or will provide medical or health benefits.

Becomes effective October 1, 2015.
