Ratifies the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits denial or abridgment of equal rights under the law based on sex.

Amendment requires Congress to enforce its provisions through appropriate legislation and takes effect two years after ratification by three-fourths of the states.

Directs the Governor to send certified copies of the ratification to the Administrator of General Services in Washington, D.C., and to the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Becomes effective upon passage into law.
