Removes restrictions on school opening and closing dates for Columbus County and Whiteville City school administrative units, allowing local boards to set their own calendar dates.

Eliminates the requirement that opening dates be no earlier than the Monday closest to August 26 and closing dates be no later than the Friday closest to June 11 for these two school districts.

Eliminates the "good cause" waiver provision and modified calendar exemptions that previously applied statewide, replacing them with direct flexibility for these specific districts.

Applies only to Columbus County and Whiteville City school administrative unit, effective beginning with the 2015-2016 school year.
