Removes opening and closing date restrictions for Martin County schools, allowing local boards to set school calendar dates without the standard August 26 and June 11 limitations.

Eliminates the requirement that non-year-round schools open no earlier than the Monday closest to August 26 and close no later than the Friday closest to June 11.

Removes provisions allowing the State Board of Education to waive opening date requirements based on weather-related school closures.

Applies exclusively to the Martin County school administrative unit and becomes effective for the 2015-2016 school year.
