Removes the requirement that school opening dates be no earlier than the Monday closest to August 26 for the Alamance-Burlington School System.

Eliminates the restriction that school closing dates be no later than the Friday closest to June 11 for the Alamance-Burlington School System.

Removes the waiver process that previously required school systems to demonstrate "good cause" (eight closure days in four of the last ten years) to deviate from standard opening and closing dates.

Eliminates the exception that previously applied only to schools operating on modified calendars as of the 2003-2004 school year.

Applies only to the Alamance-Burlington School System and becomes effective for the 2015-2016 school year.
