H252 - Conflict of Interest/Certain Relationships

• Requires covered persons to recuse themselves from legislative, executive, or official actions that may provide financial benefits to registered lobbyists or liaison personnel with whom they have close personal relationships

• Applies recusal requirement when a covered person is married to, or has a current dating or sexual relationship with, the affected lobbyist or liaison personnel

• Defines a dating relationship as one where parties are romantically involved continuously over time, excluding casual acquaintances or ordinary business/social fraternization

• Becomes effective July 1, 2015, and applies to all legislative, executive, and official actions taken on or after that date
