Requires the Division of Adult Correction to provide full and accurate copies of all records associated with a deceased inmate to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner upon request for determining cause and manner of death.

Mandates that if the State Bureau of Investigation conducts an investigation into an inmate's death, a full copy of the investigation report must also be provided to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner upon request.

Removes privacy considerations as a barrier to prevent the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner from obtaining copies of records directly from the Division of Adult Correction or the State Bureau of Investigation.

Specifies that records provided to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner under this section retain their classification status—records that would not be public in the Division's custody remain non-public when transferred.
