Repeals G.S. 115C-81, 115C-81.1, 115C-81.3, and 115C-81.4 and replaces them with new sections (115C-81.5 through 115C-81.85) reorganizing and consolidating the standard course of study requirements.

Establishes new statutory sections requiring instruction in career and technical education, conflict resolution, alcohol and drug prevention, comprehensive health education, reproductive health and safety, financial literacy, disability history awareness, cursive writing, multiplication tables, and American Sign Language.

Requires high school students to successfully complete cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) instruction and pass "American History I—The Founding Principles" as graduation requirements.

Permits local boards of education to display historical documents with religious references (such as the Ten Commandments and Magna Carta) alongside appropriate disclaimers about First Amendment protections.

Adds requirements for local boards to certify that high school and middle school science laboratories have appropriate personal protective equipment and comply with State Board safety policies.
