Allows sheriffs to apply unused sick leave accrued under the Local Governmental Employees' Retirement System toward eligible service credit in the sheriffs' supplemental pension fund.

Converts sick leave to service credit at a rate of one month of credit for each 20 days or portion thereof of sick leave, with a minimum of one hour.

Requires sheriffs to elect to have all accrued sick leave applied to the sheriffs' supplemental pension fund instead of the Local Governmental Employees' Retirement System.

Application of sick leave is subject to all requirements and restrictions of G.S. 128-26(e).

Effective July 1, 2015.
