Allows local boards of education to set their own opening and closing dates without the standard August 26/June 11 restrictions if at least 50% of schools in their administrative unit operated a school-wide Title I program during the prior two school years.

Title I school-wide programs are identified under Part A of Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended.

Exemption applies to schools that had 50% or more of their schools operating school-wide Title I programs during the prior two consecutive school years.

Effective beginning with the 2015-2016 school year.
