• Allows up to $500,000 per year from the Industrial Development Fund Utility Account to be used for applied technology equipment and renovations of school property for work-based experience programs.

• Expands eligible uses of Utility Account funds to include work-based experience programs that increase job opportunities for participants, in addition to projects creating new jobs.

• Defines "work-based experience programs" as high school educational programs developed in collaboration with eligible industries, using industry-provided equipment, where students can earn an associate degree in a field relevant to the industry by graduation.

• Maintains existing eligible industries for funding priority: company headquarters, air courier services, information technology and services, manufacturing, and warehousing and wholesale trade.

• Effective upon becoming law.
