Modifies the selection process for police officer members of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission

Reduces police official appointments from three to two positions appointed by the North Carolina Police Executives Association

Creates three separate positions for certified law enforcement officers selected by: the North Carolina Law-Enforcement Officers' Association, the State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police, and the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association

Initial terms for the Fraternal Order of Police and Police Benevolent Association representatives begin July 1, 2015, and expire June 30, 2018, with subsequent appointees serving three-year terms at the will of the appointing authority

Becomes effective upon passage into law
