Permits home schooled students in counties with populations of 200,000 or less to participate in interscholastic athletics at their assigned public school.

Requires home schooled athletes to meet residency criteria, comply with all state and local board athletic rules, and maintain the same academic eligibility standards as enrolled public school students.

Home schooled students must demonstrate academic progress through evaluation methods agreed upon by parents and school principals, and register before the sport season begins.

Requires home schooled participants to pay participation fees and purchase required or reasonably established supplemental insurance, with final approval authority held by school principals.

Takes effect upon enactment and applies beginning with the 2015-2016 school year.
