Adds new section § 58-50-31 to North Carolina General Statutes requiring health insurers to ensure chiropractic co-payments do not exceed co-payments for comparable primary care physician services.

Prohibits insurers from imposing higher co-payment amounts for services by duly licensed chiropractors than for services by duly licensed primary care physicians for comparable, medically necessary treatment or conditions.

Applies definitions of "health benefit plan" and "insurer" from existing statute G.S. 58-3-167(a).

Effective January 1, 2016, applying only to health benefit contracts entered into on or after that date.
