Amends G.S. 153A-122 to allow cities to specify that signage required by county ordinances must comply with city sign ordinances when the city adopts a resolution permitting the county ordinance to apply within city limits.

Grants city governing boards authority to require county ordinance signage to conform to local city sign codes and standards.

Preserves existing city authority to withdraw permission for county ordinances by resolution, with the ordinance ceasing to apply 30 days after the county receives written notice of withdrawal.

Became effective upon passage on July 23, 2015.
