Division of Motor Vehicles shall develop a process to include a concealed carry handgun endorsement on drivers licenses upon request.

Process must be developed in consultation with the North Carolina Sheriffs' Association and the Administrative Office of the Courts.

Endorsement would allow individuals to present their drivers license to comply with concealed carry permit requirements under G.S. 14-415.11.

Division of Motor Vehicles must complete the process development and submit a report to the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee by February 1, 2016, including any necessary statutory changes.

Bill becomes effective upon enactment.
