Expresses the House of Representatives' gratitude and appreciation to all men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces.

Honors the memory of North Carolinians who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Acknowledges that approximately 770,000 veterans live in North Carolina, ranking the state 9th nationally, including over 84,070 female veterans and more than 90,870 military retirees.

Recognizes North Carolina's six major Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security installations and the North Carolina Division of Veterans Affairs' role in providing services through 21 Veterans Service Centers, four state veterans homes, and four state veterans cemeteries.

Highlights that the U.S. Veterans Administration and Department of Defense spent $7.3 billion in North Carolina on veterans benefits and military retiree pensions during fiscal year 2013.
