Increases North Carolina Medical Board membership from 12 to 13 members.

Requires at least one physician assistant and at least one nurse practitioner to serve as separate board positions, rather than allowing either profession to fill a single position.

Maintains seven physicians recommended by the Review Panel and expands remaining appointed positions from five to six members to accommodate the separate physician assistant and nurse practitioner seats.

Updates the Review Panel composition to include representatives from the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants and the North Carolina Nurses Association Council of Nurse Practitioners to evaluate candidates for their respective positions.

Effective upon becoming law (enacted August 11, 2015).
