Amends G.S. 50C-10 to specify that knowing violations of civil no-contact orders are punishable by civil or criminal contempt as provided in Chapter 5A of the General Statutes, effective October 1, 2015 for orders entered on or after that date.

Amends G.S. 1-294 to clarify that when an appeal is perfected, it stays proceedings in the lower court on the appealed judgment, unless otherwise provided by the Rules of Appellate Procedure.

Maintains existing provisions allowing the court below to proceed on other matters in the action not affected by the appealed judgment.

Preserves the court's discretion to dispense with or limit security requirements for fiduciaries and limits such security to a maximum of $50,000 when it would otherwise exceed that amount.
