Creates two separate license types: licensed dietitian/nutritionist and licensed nutritionist, with the latter requiring a master's or doctoral degree in nutrition with specific coursework in medical nutrition therapy and 900 hours of supervised practice experience.

Reorganizes the North Carolina Board of Dietetics/Nutrition from a practice-specialty-based composition to include three licensed dietitian/nutritionists, two licensed nutritionists, one physician, and one public member.

Expands scope of practice to include medical nutrition therapy and allows enteral and parenteral nutrition therapy to be ordered by Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, Certified Nutrition Support Clinicians, and other qualified practitioners as defined by Board rules.

Permits telepractice delivery of dietetics and nutrition services provided the care meets required standards, and exempts individuals providing nutrition information or weight control services that do not constitute medical nutrition therapy from licensure requirements.

Effective July 1, 2015, with an exception that Section 12 (title usage restrictions) becomes effective October 1, 2015.
