Changes language in G.S. 7B-504 from "assume custody" to "take physical custody" when law enforcement officers execute nonsecure custody orders for juveniles in abuse, neglect, and dependency cases.

Authorizes courts to permit law enforcement officers to enter private property to take physical custody of a juvenile if the court finds less intrusive remedies are unavailable, based on petition evidence or petitioner testimony.

Permits courts to authorize forcible entry by law enforcement officers at any hour if required by exigent circumstances in the case.

Provides that officers executing complete and regular custody orders are not required to inquire into the order's validity and shall not incur criminal or civil liability for service.

Became effective upon passage on June 2, 2015, and applies to all orders issued on or after that date.
