Exempts North Carolina administrative law judges from prohibitions on carrying concealed handguns if they have a valid concealed handgun permit issued under Article 54B of Chapter 14 of the General Statutes.

Prohibits administrative law judges from carrying concealed weapons while consuming alcohol or an unlawful controlled substance, or while such substances remain in their body.

Allows administrative law judges with valid concealed handgun permits to carry firearms in areas normally prohibited under G.S. 14-415.11(c), unless otherwise prohibited by federal law.

Effective date: October 1, 2015.
