Renames the "Shallow Draft Navigation Channel Dredging and Lake Maintenance Fund" to the "Shallow Draft Navigation Channel Dredging and Aquatic Weed Fund" throughout G.S. Chapter 143, Chapter 75A, and G.S. 105-449.126.

Clarifies that aquatic weed control projects funded by the renamed fund are not limited to lakes only, removing the restriction "located within lakes" from the statutory language.

Caps annual aquatic weed control project funding at $500,000 per fiscal year while maintaining unlimited funding for shallow draft navigation channel dredging projects.

Maintains existing revenue sources for the fund including fees from boat numbering certificates, boat title transfers, and one percent of motor fuel excise tax revenue allocated to the Highway Fund.

Takes effect July 1, 2016.
