Directs the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services to appoint a subcommittee to study suicide prevention during the interim between the 2016 and 2017 legislative sessions.

Subcommittee shall examine the role of health care providers and gatekeepers in suicide prevention, with focus on individuals under 25, firefighters, law enforcement, emergency medical services personnel, active duty military, and veterans.

Subcommittee to evaluate evidence-based suicide assessment and treatment training, identify which health care providers should complete continuing education in suicide prevention, and determine minimum training hours and content requirements.

Subcommittee to study feasibility of suicide prevention training for school personnel, clergy, and law enforcement, methods for credentialing trained individuals, and procedures for sharing nonidentifying suicide investigation data with relevant stakeholders.

Subcommittee shall submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee by November 1, 2016, at which time the subcommittee terminates.
