Expands credit for time served to include time spent in custody related to the incident from which a charge arose, not just time from when custody under the charge commenced.

Clarifies that defendants receive credit for all time spent in custody pending trial, trial de novo, appeal, retrial, or pending parole, probation, or post-release supervision revocation hearing.

Modifies the exclusion for time already credited to other sentences, clarifying it applies only to time spent in custody on a pending charge while serving a sentence for another offense.

Becomes effective December 1, 2015.
