NC S211

Requires local school administrative units to transfer per pupil share of local current expense funds to charter schools within 30 days of receipt into the local fund.

Authorizes courts to award prevailing parties reasonable attorney's fees and court costs in disputes over fund transfers between local school administrative units and charter schools.

Adds liquidated damages of 5% of the monies that should have been transferred as compensation for administrative expenses incurred due to unavailability of funds.

Requires courts to order delinquent funds, court costs, fees, liquidated damages, and interest to be paid in equal monthly installments with full payment no later than one year from judgment entry.

Effective upon enactment and applies to all actions filed on or after the effective date.
