Requires local school boards to adopt a policy giving classroom experience to professional employees without daily student contact to enhance their awareness of classroom climate

Mandates that affected employees deliver instruction or have direct student contact during the instructional day as part of their regular duties

Allows policies to include activities such as substitute teaching, teaching model lessons, classroom assistance, tutoring, or other classroom services

Permits policies to award up to one renewal credit every five years per employee for participating in these classroom activities

Effective beginning with the 2015-2016 school year
