NC S332

Amends G.S. 161-10(a) to authorize registers of deeds to collect an additional fee of $2.00 for each party listed in an instrument exceeding 20 parties.

Defines "excessive recording data" as instruments containing more than 20 distinct parties requiring indexing under G.S. 147-54.3 or Chapter 161, including any attachments and exhibits.

Additional fee applies only to parties in excess of 20, calculated per party in the instrument.

Becomes effective October 1, 2015.

Collected fees are deposited into the county general fund.
