Department of Public Instruction must study and report on the cost of compliance with federal education funding mandates by local education agencies by January 1, 2016.

Joint Legislative Program Evaluation Oversight Committee is directed to consider including an evaluation of K-12 federal education funding compliance costs in the 2015-2016 Work Plan for the Program Evaluation Division.

If the evaluation is included in the Work Plan, the Program Evaluation Division must report findings and recommendations to the General Assembly at a date determined by the Committee.

The act becomes effective upon enactment.
