Exempts armed security guards registered under Chapter 74C of North Carolina General Statutes from the prohibition on carrying concealed weapons on educational property while performing their duties and with permission from the college, university, or school superintendent.

Requires colleges, universities, and school superintendents to provide a list of authorized armed security guards to local law enforcement agencies upon request and to update the list as needed.

Protects security guards from criminal charges under this statute if their names are not included on the list provided to law enforcement agencies.

Effective date: December 1, 2015.
