North Carolina Courts Commission shall study developing a process to remove personal information of nonelected officials from county and city Internet web sites upon request.

Study shall consider which law enforcement personnel, prosecutors, and judicial officers may request removal and what types of personal information should be eligible for removal.

Commission shall examine the removal process, circumstances for public record disclosure of removed information, and costs to cities and counties.

Commission shall report findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the 2016 Regular Session of the General Assembly.

Act becomes effective upon passage into law.
