State Board of Education must require high school students to take a semester course on "American History I – The Founding Principles" covering 13 specified principles including inalienable rights, separation of powers, rule of law, and constitutional limitations on government power.

A passing grade in the founding principles course is required for high school graduation.

State Board of Education must include questions on philosophical foundations and the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Federalist Papers in curriculum-based tests beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year.

Local boards of education may allow teachers to read or post excerpts from historical documents including the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Mayflower Compact, and founding fathers' writings without content-based censorship.

Department of Public Instruction may use up to $300,000 per fiscal year during 2015-2017 to develop a pilot program for community-based adapted sports programs for students with disabilities in kindergarten through grade 12, in collaboration with universities and community organizations.
