Expresses the North Carolina Senate's gratitude and appreciation to all veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces.

Honors the memory of North Carolinians who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Acknowledges that North Carolina hosts six major Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security installations, including Fort Bragg, Camp Lejeune, and Cherry Point.

Recognizes that approximately 770,000 veterans and about 135,000 active-duty guard and reserve military personnel reside in North Carolina, making it one of the largest active-duty military populations in the country.

Became effective upon adoption on April 15, 2015.
