North Carolina Department of Commerce shall study the NC Works Apprenticeship Program in consultation with the North Carolina Community College System.

Study may include proposals to incentivize business participation in the apprenticeship program, including proposals to reduce tuition costs that businesses pay for enrolled students.

Department of Commerce must report findings and any legislative proposals to the Joint Legislative Workforce Development Oversight Committee and Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee no later than October 1, 2016.

Act becomes effective when it becomes law.
