Removes five tracts of property from the corporate limits of the Town of Sunset Beach in Shallotte Township, Brunswick County, North Carolina.

Tract I contains 0.21 acres located near West Main Street and 40th Street.

Tract II contains approximately 18 acres extending from West Main Street to the Atlantic Ocean mean high water line.

Tract III contains 24.95 acres along the Atlantic Ocean and includes waterfront property.

Tract IV contains 6.22 acres near NC Highway 904 and Calabash Creek; Tract V contains 36.169 acres including waterfront property along the Atlantic Ocean and Jinx's Creek.

Preserves the Town of Sunset Beach's ability to collect or foreclose on any ad valorem tax liens or special assessments that existed before the effective date on the deannexed property.

Becomes effective June 30, 2016.
