Modifies the quarter-cent local option sales tax ballot language for Moore County to clarify that tax revenue must be used only for public school construction, repair, and renovation purposes.

Modifies the quarter-cent local option sales tax ballot language for Stanly County to clarify that tax revenue must be used only for public education purposes.

Amends G.S. 105-538 for both counties to establish that counties may use collected funds only for their specified education purposes and must supplement rather than replace existing education funding.

Clarifies that on a $100 purchase, the local sales tax would be an extra 25 cents under the one-quarter percent rate.

Takes effect upon enactment.
