• Direct the Office of the Attorney General to conduct a study of predatory game practices in video games, with particular focus on impacts to minor children in North Carolina.

• Study shall examine psychological impacts of targeted marketing in video games, including addiction and disorders related to in-game purchases, "loot boxes," and gambling-like mechanics.

• Attorney General may review legislation from other states and consult with state agencies as needed to inform the analysis.

• Attorney General shall submit a report with legislative recommendations to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety and Fiscal Research Division by January 1, 2019.

• Appropriate $20,000 from the General Fund to the Office of the Attorney General to conduct the study, effective July 1, 2018.
