Amends S.L. 2003-272 to add an advisory committee to the Avery County Fire Commission.

Advisory committee shall include the Fire Chiefs of every Volunteer Fire Department located in or serving a portion of Avery County and one member of the Avery County Board of Commissioners.

County Manager serves as a nonvoting ex officio member of the Commission and acts as liaison between the advisory committee and the Commission.

Advisory committee must meet at least quarterly at a public facility, preferably the County Office Building.

Effective upon becoming law.
