Master Trooper Kevin Conner of Bladenboro, North Carolina, was killed in the line of duty on October 17, 2018, while conducting a traffic stop in Columbus County.

Conner served 16 years in law enforcement, including roles with the North Carolina Marine Patrol and the State Highway Patrol, and provided executive protection for Governors Pat McCrory and Roy Cooper.

He graduated from Bladenboro High School and earned an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Bladenboro Community College, and also owned K&M Auto Sales.

The House of Representatives honors Conner's memory and service to law enforcement and the State of North Carolina.

The House extends its deepest sympathy to his surviving wife Miranda Fowler Conner, two children (Briley and Braxson), and his parents Glenn and Kay Conner.
