Extends the deadline for charter schools to elect participation in the Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System (TSERS) from the end of the initial year to the end of the second year of operation.

Charter schools electing to join during the second year of operation may undergo an optional actuarial and financial review before entry, whereas those joining after the second year shall be required to undergo such a review.

Maintains provisional entry status for one year with Board of Trustees authority to revoke entry if required contributions are not received, with 90-day written notice required before revocation.

Effective August 1, 2017.
