Prohibits judges and justices of the General Court of Justice convicted on impeachment or removed from office from receiving retirement benefits, except for return of member contributions plus interest.

Applies to convictions on impeachment for reasons other than physical and mental incapacity under Article IV of the North Carolina Constitution and Chapter 123, and to removals under G.S. 7A-376(b).

Allows judges to seek reversal of forfeited benefits if the conviction or removal is vacated or set aside, requiring repayment of accumulated contributions plus 6.5% annual compound interest.

Establishes prospective application for judges who have not vested by December 1, 2017, forfeiting all benefits, and for vested judges, forfeiting only creditable service accrued after December 1, 2017.

Requires the General Assembly, Supreme Court, and State Treasurer to notify the Board of Trustees of any conviction on impeachment or removal of a judge.
