Establishes procedures for the University Board of Governors Nominating Committee to nominate and elect six members to the Board of Governors for four-year terms.

Nominations must be submitted in writing by House Representatives between March 6-10, 2017, with each Representative allowed to nominate up to two persons; nominees must file a Statement of Economic Interest by 5:00 P.M. on March 10, 2017.

Committee screens nominees for qualifications and conducts a vote to ensure a slate of 12 legally qualified nominees if 12 or more have been nominated.

House of Representatives holds election no later than April 5, 2017, with nominees arranged alphabetically on the ballot; a nominee must receive a majority of votes from members present and voting to be elected, with runoff voting if fewer than six nominees achieve this threshold.

All ballots must be signed by the voting Representative and retained by the House Principal Clerk as permanent records; election results are sent to the Senate and the Secretary of the Board of Governors.
