Division of Motor Vehicles shall study distracted driving in consultation with Department of Public Safety, examining causes, injury/fatality data from past two years, potential penalty increases, and prevention measures.

Division of Motor Vehicles shall study road rage in consultation with Department of Public Safety, including definition, behavior types, causes, injury/fatality data from past two years, related crimes, potential penalty increases, and prevention measures.

Division of Motor Vehicles must report findings and legislative recommendations from both studies to the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee and Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety by February 1, 2018.

Act becomes effective upon enactment.
