Modifies North Carolina's Uniform Commercial Code provisions regarding accord and satisfaction by instrument under G.S. 25-3-311(a).

Expands the conditions for accord and satisfaction to include cases where a claimant fails to return a tendered instrument within 90 days of receipt, in addition to cases where payment is obtained.

Applies only when a person tenders an instrument in good faith as full satisfaction of an unliquidated or bona fide disputed claim.

Becomes effective July 1, 2017, and applies to instruments tendered on or after that date.
