Removes calendar date restrictions for Person County Schools by eliminating the requirement that school opening dates be no earlier than the Monday closest to August 26 and closing dates be no later than the Friday closest to June 11.

Eliminates the "good cause" waiver provision previously required for opening dates before August 26, allowing the Person County board of education to set opening and closing dates with greater flexibility.

Removes the exception previously granted to schools operating under modified calendars, treating all Person County schools equally under the new flexible calendar requirements.

Applies only to Person County Schools effective with the 2017-2018 school year.
