Adds board certified behavior analysts to the list of professionals authorized to provide or supervise adaptive behavior treatment for autism spectrum disorder under health benefit plans.

Removes the "licensed" requirement from the existing list of eligible professionals to allow board certified behavior analysts, who are not necessarily licensed, to deliver treatment.

Treatment must still be ordered by a licensed physician or psychologist and services must be commensurate with the provider's training, experience, and scope of practice.

Effective July 1, 2017, for insurance contracts issued, renewed, or amended on or after that date.
