H359 - CC/High School Enrollment in CTE Courses

• Clarifies that high school students may enroll in all career and technical education (CTE) courses at community colleges, not just curriculum courses.

• Expands academic transition pathways for freshmen and sophomore high school students to include three specific fields: industrial and engineering technologies, agriculture and natural resources, and transportation technology.

• Allows junior and senior high school students to earn State or industry-recognized credentials through CTE pathways, in addition to certificates or diplomas.

• Takes effect immediately upon passage and applies beginning with the 2017-2018 academic year.
