Requires local directors of social services to collect information about military affiliation of parents, guardians, custodians, or caretakers during assessments of alleged child abuse or neglect.

Authorizes departments of social services to share confidential information with appropriate military authorities when the parent, guardian, custodian, or caretaker of an allegedly abused or neglected juvenile has a military affiliation.

Requires directors to notify appropriate military authorities within 48 hours after receipt of a report when making reports to district attorneys and local law enforcement agencies regarding evidence of abuse or neglect.

Maintains confidentiality of all information received by social services departments except when disclosed to protect a juvenile from abuse or neglect, including military authority notifications.

Effective upon becoming law.
